Unlock the mysteries of the Iron Age at the Saruq Al-Hadid interactive museum, the first of a series of new museums set to transform the historical district of Dubai into a rich cultural zone.

The museum delves into the mysteries of the Iron Age through findings from an archeological site on the edge of the Rub Al-Khali desert – discovered by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum while flying his helicopter.
Since then historians and archeologists have been unearthing thousands of iron tools, stoneware, bronze pots, precious beads, gold jewellery and fossils – now on display at the museum.

The interactive exhibition will be continuously refreshed as the archeological site unearths new findings. Visitors can even carry out their own dig in a simulated archaeological excavation.

Located in the historic Shindagha district of Dubai, the museum offers the perfect reason to spend a day in old Dubai. Combine it with a traditional Abra ride across the creek or a visit to the souks.
